The King of Morang was tricked by the people representing king Prithvi Narayan Shah to come to Bijaypur – Dharan for a negotiation and was killed there.

Satashi Dham

Satashi dham is a religious site of jhapa, Nepal. Near Jhiljhile 15 km of Damak municipality .The heart melting beauty of the palce have made this place more attractive and beautyful. People come here for picnic and for religious visits. It lies in the border of jhapa and illam distict of Nepal. Dispite of being a religious site of hindu lord sivha, Many people of different religious come here seeking the beauty of nature and pieceful environment. Satashi dham is a religious site of hindu lord sivha, many historical and religious gufas are found in this place. The lord shiva water fall is also a tourist attraction of this place. The religious Temples, the beauty and the historical places present there is its speciality. Satashi Dham is located in Jhapa district, bordered to illam.   It is situated in ward number-9.The total population is about 10-15 around the satashi dham area. The area covers about 14-15 beegas. there is a dense forest to the north of the area.The main cities around are Jhiljhile, Dudhe of that area. There are four VDCs around the area. The pepole like Bramins, Magar, Saints,Sages live in that area. It is beleaved that the wild animals like elephant, tiger, etc come to that place. The place is biologically important too. Ilam East Nepal

Ilam is the far eastern district of the country, inhabited by people of different colors living in peace and harmony. Neighboring the famous Indian hill town of Darjeeling, it is situated on the foothills of Mount Kanchanjunga, The third highest peak in the world. Ilam is adorned with an almost limitless range of lush-green tea gardens. The rolling hills covered with tea leaves are simply majestic. The thick white fogs alternatively descend to veil the gardens and then suddenly vanish. Greenery prevails all over the hills of Ilam all around the year.

Ilam Tea Garden located near Ilam Bazaar and Kanyam Tea Garden located halfway between Terai plain and Ilam Bazaar are the major gardens of Nepal.
Antu Danda
Antu Danda, situated at an altitude of 1677m in Ilam District, is famous for its unique views of Everest and Kanchanjunga. It is the best vantage point for viewing sunrise and sunset. There is a motorable road from Ilam to Chhipitar from where one can read Antu Danda on foot. This exhilarating trekking along the lush green hills takes about 3 hours.

Mai Pohari
Situated at an altitude of 2438 meters, Mai Pokhari is a famous place of pilgrimage in Ilam district. Lying at about thirteen kilometers north of Ilam Bazaar, this beautiful place consists of the pond whose circumference is more than one kilometer. Altogether there are nine ponds in the area some of which are large enough for boats. This place becomes alive every year during 'Harisayam Ekadashi' when a one-night fair is held. This place is a famous picnic spot for nearby people Mai Pokhari can be reached in four hours from Ilam Bazaar in jeep. On the way are the villages of Chureghanti, Bakhaute, Dharapani and Hasbire Bhanjyang, which offer commanding views of the snowy peaks towards north.

Royal Chitwan National Park is Nepal’s first and most famous national park is situated in the Chitwan Doon or the lowlands of the inner Terai. Covering an area of 932-sq-kms the park includes hilly areas of the Shiwalik range covered by deciduous Sal forest.

A fifth of the park is made up of the floodplains of the Narayani, Rapti and the Reu Rivers and is covered by dense tall Elephant grass interspersed with revenine forests of silk cotton (Kapok), Acacia and Sisam trees.

Fauna In Chitwan National Park
This ecologically diverse area is the last remaining home in Nepal for more than 300 of the endangered Asian one-horned inoceros and harbours one of the largest populations of the elusive and rare Royal Bengal Tiger. Besides Rhino and Tiger, Chitwan also support a great variety of flora and fauna. There are four species of Deer, including the Spotted Chittal, Leopard, Sloth Bear, Wild Dog, Small Wild Cats, the white stockinged Gaur (world’s largest wild cattle) and many other smaller animals.

The swampy areas and numerous Ox-bow lakes of Chitwan provide a home for Marsh Crocodiles. In a stretch of the Narayani River is found one of the few remaining of the populations of the rare and endangered fish-only eating Gharial. In the summers the park is alive with migrants such as the fabulous paradise flycatcher, the Indian Pitta ans Parakeets.
